Regardless, the Roselia guarding this first of many choices nods, bowing as she steps aside to let you enter your chosen path. The other closes abruptly in a curtain of moss and vines at the Pokemon's behest, unable to be retread.

THE PATH LESS TRAVELED BY

As you advance deeper into the maze, flowers of every hue blossom and unfurl around you, as if celebrating your passage deeper into the leafy foliage. Sunlight spills forth through the crevices of leaves and branches, at last revealing a Lilligant who stands before you.

She elegantly curtseys with a smile, as if she has been long awaiting your presence. In her leafy hands, she holds a boxed gift:

FIVE POKEBALLS. You have PASSED the first checkpoint!

Behind her another choice awaits you: a winding, looping path to the left, and a narrow and snaking path to the right.

Which path shall you take, CJ Mizikar?

The little rosebush steps aside with a bow and a sweep of its great blooms and CJ feels like royalty walking down the red carpet. The maze opens up before them, countless branching paths and questionable corners. The walls become curtains of flowers, the floral aroma heavy in the air. A scattering of pollen marks the ground, and settles on CJ’s sleeve when they accidentally brush against a protruding blossom.

They have no hands with which to take the Lilligant’s gift. They chug one of their coffees with haste, pop the top, and slide the other cup within. CJ thanks the Lilligant with a smile as they step up to their second choice: straight and narrow, or loopy-doopy?

CJ thinks for a moment and then decides they have never done anything straight in their entire lives.

THE SECOND CHECKPOINT

The nature of your thoughts do not seem evident to the prim and proper Lilligant within this clearing, who beams at your decision as if it was made for far more appropriate reasons.

Still smiling, the Lilligant that guards this second checkpoint bobs her head in silent understanding, stepping aside to let you enter your chosen path. The other closes abruptly in a curtain of moss and vines at the Pokemon's behest, unable to be retread.

THE PATH LESS TRAVELED BY

A gentle wind bearing dandelion spores draws you further into the maze, sticky with sweet pollen. It tickles your nose, leaving it no surprise when the bend turns to reveal a joyful Jumpluff standing before you.

She chirps with apparent delight at your arrival, hopping up and down upon a boxed gift that she urges towards you:

THREE TM/TR MOVES. You have PASSED the second checkpoint!

Behind the blue Pokemon another choice awaits you: a circuitous path to the left, and a deceptively straight, arrow-like path to the right.

Which path shall you take, CJ Mizikar?

CJ has to duck their head into their elbow to avoid spewing a snotty sneeze all over the poor Lilligant, who simply wants to do her job and beckon them onwards. They smile apologetically from beneath a reddened nose as they hurry on their way, box of Pokeballs tucked under their other arm that still holds the coffee. CJ hoped there weren’t going to be a whole lot more items passed out because they were running out of hands.

Luckily, they had cleared up most of their allergy attack by the time they reached the Jumpluff, who had another dreaded box ready to be handed out. CJ thanked the little blue seed and stacked their received gift boxes.

At the next junction, they chose the right path, wondering absently if there was going to be a bathroom along the way.
